FRENCH WAVE OF ARSON
LONDON, Sept. 28. A Vichy report states that Le Matin reveals a vast wave of arson, particularly in Occupied France, where many crons and warehouses have been destroyed. Marshal Petain has protested to the German authorities in Paris against the German gauleiter’s measures agaiast French nationals in AlsaceLorraine. The protest is based on the fact that the measures violate the terms of the armistice.
