HELP CRIPPLED CHILDREN
The committee of the Manawatu brarich of the Crippled Children Society appeals with confidence to the general public for a generous measure of support for its annual 6trcet day _on Friday next There are over 150 children in the care of this branch and the district extends over a very wide area, from Walkanae in the south to Rangiwahia in the north and ever to Norsowood. The children must be brought to clinics for skilled advice and attention and they must have the necessary equipment for their improvement and also for vocational training to fit them to be ufieful citizens. The personal contact of the welfare officers with the parents is also an important part of the work. On Friday members jof the Lady Galway Guild have again : undertaken to conduct the. street stall, i and contributions of produce, home cook--1 nig, etc., _ will be gratefully, received. ■ Badges will be on sale throughout the i nay and it is confidently hoped that a | large sum will be raised to help on this very necessary and worthwhile work.
