Tho New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Coy., Ltd.. report:— ■ Himatangi stock sale—Dairy cattle were yarded in smaller numbers and the quality was not up to that at recent sales. However, competition was good and values were well up to expectations. A small entry of fat cows and heifers sold readily at lato rates. Store and boner cows remained firm. A few pens of yearling Jersey heifers changed hands at advanced rates. Quotations: Med. quality dairy heifers, £9 to £l2 ss; others £5 15s to £8; fat cows and heifers £5 to £6 15s; storo cows, £3 to £4 17s 6d; boner cows, £1 to £2 10s; ylg. Jersey heifers. £4 15s to £5 10s; dairy bulls 2-yr, £5 15s to £6 10s. Rongotea sale.—A large yarding of sheep met with a keen demand and a total clearance was obtained at values in keeping with outside centres. A smaller yarding than usual of dairy cattle, tho quality of which was not up to recent sales', met with a steady demand and values were firm. The advertised entries nf yearling and 2-yr podisjreo .Jersey bulls elicited good competition and values were most pleasing. A good yarding of store and porker pigs sold readily although values were slightly easier. The advertised entries of yearling Jersey heifers came forward in excellent order, and were submitted to a large attendance. Competition was keen and top values wero obtained. Quotations: Fat cows and hoifers, £5 15s to £8; store cows, £2 10s to £4 15s; boner cows, 20s to £2 ss; dairy heifers, £8 to £lO 15s; dairy cows, £7 10s to £11; ylg.
