WEDDING
FEERIER-WOODLEY.
A quiet wedding was solemnised in the Church of Christ, Campbell Street, by Pastor L. E. Usmar, on Tuesday, September 15, when Dorothy Mavis, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs Albert Woodley, was joined in the bonds of holy matrimony to Private Alexander Ferrier, eldest son of Mrs Neilson, Grey Street, and the late Mr Ferrier. The bride, who was given away by her father, was attired in a smart ensemble of dusty pink with navy accessories, and wore a spray of blue flowers. She was attended by Miss Gwynneth Langston, of Tiakitahuna, who wore a navy costume with navy, accessories and matching shoulder spray. The bridegroom was attended by Mr Charles Langston, also of Tiakitahuna, as best man. After the ceremony the reception was held at the home of the bride's grandparents, Mr and Mrs C. WoodIcy, of Bussell Street, where a happy gathering of relatives and friends of the bridal couple assembled. The usual toasts were honoured, at the conclusion of which an enjoyable musical evening followed. The happy couplo later departed to spend a short honey, moon prior to the bridegroom returning to his military duties.
