ADDINGTON SALE.
(P.A.) CHRISTCHURCIT, Aug. 12. At the Addington market in the store sheep section, halfbred Cwc hoggot9 made 23s 9d and a wether hogget 20s. Top price for ewes was 29s 9d for a pen of 89 four-year-old halfbreds in .-lamb to Southdown rams. A line of 323 four and five-year-olds is lamb to English Leicester rams made 24s 6d. A pen of ewes and lambs made' 14s. 9d, all counted. Best ewes made from 24s 6d to 29s 9d; medium to good, 17s to 21s. Fat sheep: The highest price for ewes .was 35s 7d, a line t>f 98 making from 33s 7d to 35s 7d and averaging 34s 6d. One lino of 108 long-woolled wethers sold from 46e Id to 47s lOd and averaged 46s 6d. Another of 51 sold from lOd to 48s 4d and averaged. 475. F*ilt cattle: One truck of Shorthorn cross steers averaged £23 13s 6d and nine heifers averaged £ls 10s. Highest price for heifers was £22 17s 6d. Others of Show c'.ass made up to £2O. Pigs: The average price per lb for porkers was Bjd to lOd, and for baconers 7Jd to Choppers made from £3 15s to £7 6s.
