MIDNIGHT POLICE RAID

(Prcis Aesn.) INVERCARGILL, Mar. 26. Shortly after midnight police officer* a-nd collectors of Customs visited a farm about two miles from Mataura. After keeping a cowshed under observation for some time they made an unexpected entry, and it is reported that they found three men at work distilling whisky. Operations were being carried on by candle light. The police took, possession of a fairly elaborate still and several gallons of whisky were also seized. Three men, one of whom is the owner of the property, will appear before the Court.
