MALTA'S ORDEAL

(Ree. 2 p.m.) RUGBY, Mar. 20. Malta messages say the German air foicu made three large-scale attacks on the Grand Harbour to-day. The first was at noon, when the enemy employed a large formation of Ju 88 s in three waves. It was the largest single raid since the present scries of mass attacks starto 1 a week ago. Two Ju 88 s and some Ju 87's wer<! destroyed by fighters and three Ju 88's and one J ij 8/ damaged. The crew of one plane were taken prisoner. One Ju 88 was probably destroyed by anti-aircraft fire. The civilian damage was light and there were a few casualties.—Official i Wireless.
