HOROWHENUA
(From Our Own Correspondent.) Mr IT.- Cockroll, for many years a reorient of Otaki. has been a visitor to the town. Mr and Mrs P. Livingstone, of Wellington, are the rjurftts of Mr and Mrs J. Fielding, of Te Horo. The death is announced from Egypt, of Private Owen Catman from wounds. Deceased, who saw service in Greece and Crete, was the son of Rev. Mr Gntman, at, one time a resident of Olaki. Private Joseph A. Pike, son of Mr and Mrs C. V. Pike, Mill Road. Otaki, is reported missing, believed prisoner Some excitement prevailed on _ Monday when a fire ivis noticed in the vicinity of the old Native College hostel. It was ascertained, however, that it was only a rubbish fire in clcse proximity to the building. The Otaki Post. Office had a very busy time durinr.' She holiday season, but, thanks to Mr 'Wilcox and his efficient staff all the work was capably handled.
