TRAINS DELAYED.
Considerable delay was caused in the arrival of the Auckland-Wellington expresses at Palmerston -North yesterday, due to slips brought down by heavy rain in'the • districts north of Marton and Taihape. The first express arrived ""approximately six hours late, and the Limited was more than 3.} hours late. Heavy rain in the Rangitikei county was also the cause of thf arrival of the New PlymouthWellington express at Palmerston North 50 minutes behind its scheduled time of arrival, 3.16 p.m.'All the train services on the New Plymouth and Main Trunk lines were running lo schedule 'to-day. ;
