PRICE INCREASES. (1.25 p.m.) CANBERRA, Nov. 14. An increase of 2Jcl a dozen boxes m the retail price, of safety matches is announced by the Price Commissioner. The Minister of External Affairs (Dr. Evatt) said the recent report of an epidemic of the plague at New Caledonia was entirely false. A Sydney report says the. Legislative Council has re-elected Sir Henry Manning as its representative on the senate of the university, from which he recently resigned as a result of the dispute over the law school appointments.
