SPRING OFFENSIVE.
HINT BY GENERAL BLAAIEY. MELBOURNE, Nov. 13. ’['lie General Officer Commanding the Australian Imperial Force (General Sir Thomas Blarney) in an interview, Din tod that he expects an extensive campaign next spring, but he would not indicate tlie whereabouts of the probable hostilities. Whatever happened, he declared, Australian troops would fight as a single force. He considered the position in the Middle East fairly stable and said air support in this theatre had improved out of all comprehension. Newly devised co-operation between tiie Army and the Air Force would probably spell the end of all the former troubles.
