KENNEL CLUB SHOW

ADDITIONAL AWARDS. There was an excellent ‘attendance at the Manawatu Kennel Club’s show on Saturday. On account of the large number ol entries, judging was not completed until late in the afternoon and even quality all through made the judge’s task a most difficult one. Results, additional to those already published, arc as follow: The title of best dog in the show was won by J. Murphy’s smooth fox terrier Fiery Ideal. The prize for best in opposite sex went to Mrs P. S. Lacey’s cocker spaniel dog Bing Bowdler and that for best puppy to Mr and Mrs A. S. Jones’s smooth fox terrier, Regan Rummy. Commenting on the show, the judge (Mr L>. T. Sinclair, of Napier) stated that for a. one-day fixture there was an excellent entry. Some of the best dogs in the Dominion'were displayed. The best bitch in the show was very typical and was a high-class dog. He had seldom seen one so good in recent times. The cocker spaniels formed a good class. The Pomeranians .also reached a high standard, the winning dog having a wonderful coat. The sporting dogs were also worthy of mention and were shown in splendid form. The Pekinese were young but of a type sure to do a good deal of winning when matured. Non-sporting Stakes.—Mrs B. _ \V tlhaina (Waipawa) 1, Mr and Mrs A J. Kearns (Wanganui) 2, Miss E. I. S.
