In a short debate it was pcuntcd out that a register of electors was last prepared in 10:39 and was now very stale, there having been great movements of population because of war serviceThe practical impossibility of compiling a new register was stressed. Contested by-elections, ifc was emphasised, showed there was no difference of opinion as to the necessity of prosecuting the war to the end. A Bill was also read the secoud time which prolongs the life of existing municipal and county councils for a further year.—Official Wireless.
