CONTROL OF ALIENS.
RUGBY, July 31. It was revealed in answer to a .question in Parliament that authority has been given tor 308 interned refugees to he returned to the United Kingdom from Canada and 1".'? from Australia. No fewer than 891 persons have already been brought hack from Canada and ]!)() are now on their way from Aus-1 tralia. These figures were given by the Home Secretary (Mr Morrison), who said that since the war began 88.UO0 aliens had been given permission to leave Britain. Of them about 52.000 had* embarked for European ports.— Official Wireless.
