'J'lio Feilding branch of the 'Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union met yesterday afternoon, Mrs "W. G. Booth presiding. It was decided to send a letter of appreciation to Miss AI. Mayo, who had been the branch’s housekeeping secretary for six years, thanking her for her services. A motion of sympathy with Mrs .7, A. Jarrett in tho serious illness of her husband was passed and best wishes for his speedy recovery were offered. Mrs J. C. Corkill was elected a member. An interesting report on proceedings at the recent conference in Wellington was given by the delegates, Mrs Booth and Mrs W. Green. The meeting decided to invite Colonel Macau ley to be the speaker at next month’s gathering.
