JAPANESE IN AMERICA. <1 ..‘3O p.in.) WASHINGTON, July 31. Senator Martin Dies, the chairman of the Committee Investigating UnAmerican Activities, said his agents had uncovered sensational evidence of an elaborate Japanese sabotage plot on the Avest coast. He added that if the Justice Department did not act promptly ho Avould publish the facts. The Commerce Department announced to-day that Japan has suspended trade with the Panama Republic since the United States has not permitted Japanese ships to traverse the Panama Canal, ostensibly because of repairs being made to the canal. _ At Singapore the Consul-General for Thailand declared that Thailand will not grant bases to any nation.
