JAPAN'S OIL NEEDS.

Congressman I and popular support lor President Roosevelt’s foreign poleiy has unquestionably been strengthened by the bombing of the Tutuila, states a Washington report. The House Military Affairs Committee has approved a resolution son lar to the Senate’s, favouring the extension of military service. Last week the situation over the measure was causing political leaders considerable concern; to-day its passage seems assured.
