WAR SERVICE AUXILIARY

At a meeting of the district committee of the Women's War Service Auxiliary. Miss C. Warburton presiding, correspondence .was received front the Dominion council concerning the allocation of uniforms and numbers required for each section. Mrs Walker reported that the results of the examination of tho child care section were not yet to hand. She further reported on a consultation with Mrs G. C. Petersen regarding the scheme for training Plunket aids. Tho intention was that the aids should be able to release the Plunket nurses in case ot emergency. The meeting approved of Mrs Walker accepting nomination to the child care committee of the E.P.S. It was resolved to commence a second class in child care in the near future. Mrs Bale sent in a report on the emergency hospital section, and for Mrs Freybcrg it was reported that members of the transport section had passed their test and the results of the second class were not yet to hand. The third class was readv to commence at Selwvn Motors. Mesdames J. H. White. S. G. Northey and S. ,T. Parkes reported on tho canteen sections. Tho secretary was instructed to write letters of thanks to all who have given of their time in instructing members of the various sections. Tt was reported that Mrs Lovell had commenced a second series of demonstration lectures for tho canteen section at the Opera House.
