POTATOES FOR NORTH.

(P.A.) OIIIIISTCHUKCH, Juno 27. Shipments ot potatoes to Auckland this week have aggregated 14,000 sacks and the market lias consequently been considerably quieter than last week. One ot the shipments was of rather more than 10,COO sacks, easily the heaviest this, season. It- is expected that the market here will remain quiet lor a week or more. Prices have not yet weakened appreciably anil quotations remain, the same as at the end of last week. Chaff has firmed a little and is worth about £3 15s. There is no great quantity of business yet. Oats are very quiet and reports indicate that there is not a great quantity left in the country. Millers’ requirements arc practically filled and this has had an effect. Millers have bought much earlier than usual this year.
