RUGBY FOOTBALL.

With the teams now almost stabilised. Rugby football in the Mauawatu is becoming the more interesting as the championship points are strung out to show the leaders. The matches set down for .Saturday next have several engaging features and principal attention will be given the meeting of St. Patrick's and United at the Sportsground at 3 n.m. United have played some excellent games, but St. Patrick’s are quite capable of upsetting them. In the earlier match, at 830 p.m. Old Boys are to meet University. The latter side should improve rapidly and they may easily beat the other team. At Feilding, Kia Toa will meet the combined Feilding side, so that there .should be ample of interest to patrons of the game in that centre.
