WOMEN'S INSTITUTES.
At a meeting of the executive committee of the Manawatu Federation ol Women's [nstitiitoa Mrs T. D. Lynch (Linton) presided. Other members present were Mesdames T. Rowland (Longhnrn) I). Scott (Aokauterc), \Y. M. .VlcCh Cand (Kairanga). H. N. M<ICwen (Tiakitahuna). W. Churchill. IT. V. Caverhill. and T. 10. Collins (Hon gotea). .Miss O. Walters (Carterton. Dominion treasurer) wrote • accepting ;in invitation to hold a school lor officers in Palmerston North tin's month. The .secretary of the District Advisory Committee on Adult Education wrote asking ii the Women's Institute drama groups would lie interested in taking advantage of the services of Miss Kate Stoeker. Mrs Collins was authorised to write intimating that programmes had been arranged six months ahead, hut should | Miss Stoeker be in the district an | effort would l>e made to use her services. The treasurer (Mrs Caverhill) reported having received .£1 10s affiliation fees from Kelvin Grove. A tentative schedule for cut blooms for the proposed floral festival, to he held in.l November, was revised. I
