OPERATIONS IN AFRICA.
round-up of knf;my. (British Official Wireless.) (Rce. 11.2.3 a in.) RUGBY. .June 1. A Cairo communique states that there is nothing important to report in Libya. 11l the lake area of Abyssinia our preparations to round up the scattered elements of the enemy recently defeated in battle are progressing. Further north patriot forces, which are daily growing in strength, are actively harassing the remaining Italian detachments. i
The evacuation of Dehareeh, 50 mile north of Gondar. on the Arlown road and the retreat or the enemy toward Gondar suggest that they are now being hemmed in. Patriot forces Imve captured forts east of Dehareeh. Villo. which is near l.cclienti. has also been occupied. In ihe south-west leading troops arc now -17 miles north o* Giabassire. The general position in this theatre may best be described by saying that clearing up operations are proceeding satisfactorily.
