ALLIED FORCES IN CRETE MORE NAZI REINFORCEMENTS LONDON, May 30. An announcement in Cairo states that the Germans are still landing troops in Crete. The situation is described as being both delicate and serious. Severe fighting continues. Heavy German reinforcements are continuing to reach Crete by air. Our forces arc reported to be inflicting heavy loss on the enemy, but. superior numbers are pushing them back and they have been required to rectify their position. The German success is being gained only at very heavy cost, both of men and machines. ITeraclion is still in our hands in spite of German claims to have secured possession. «
