The American Consulate-General in Wellington has boon informed by the Minister of Justice (Hon. H. G. R. Mason) that his department will consider the exemption from the aliens emergency regulations, 1940, of nationals of the United States resident in Now Zealand, and that applications for exemption by such nationals will be favourably considered in all eases oicopi where such ualionals arc of enemy origin or associations.
