For the concluding day of the South Canterbury meeting investments totalled £19,119 10s, against £15,741 10s lust year. "J he total for the meeiihg was £31.868 10s, against £24,143 lust year, an increase of £7725 10s.

A meeting of the judicial committee was held concerning the Duke of Gloucester Cup, which was run on the first day. Tlie evidence revealed that there was some doubt whether G. Paul, owner and rider of the winning horse, had a geiiilcmun rider's certificate. Jt was decided that the stake, cup and miniatures he impoundid till the matter is cleared up. Additional results:
