NOTES. Over-subscribed quotas of cull-stock for handling by the Cull Drive Association have been the order for months part, showing that farmers value the organisation as a most satisfactory medium through which to dispose of cull stock. Operations extend north-easi ward to a point between Norsewood and Takapau and from there in various oilier directions the caitle are _ aosemblcd at Uanncvirkc where preparations are made for final transport, l'or the drive which took place on May 8. the quota of 500 bead was fully booked by 143 owners scattered over a wide area.
It is announced to-day that this month’s cull stock drive under the auspices of the S. H.13.C.1-). Association will leave Dannevirke on May 19. As there arc already a number of bookings in hand those who arc interested in this drive are requested to communicate early with Mr Ray 11. Morgan, the local organiser. May 19 and 20 are the dales fixed for “marking’’ the animals.
