APPEAL FAILS
TROTTING ASSOCIATION DECISION. (Press Assn.) CHRISTCHURCH, May 12. An appeal by the Gore Racing Club from, a decision of the New Zealand Trotting Association, arising out of the running of the Telegraph Trot Handicap on the second day of the Racing Club’s meeting, was dismissed by the Trotting Conference appeal judges, Messrs A. T. Donnelly, C. S. Thomas, and I’. ’E. Graham. After hearing Air D. E. Wanklvn, counsel fur appellant club, and Mr L. R. Simpson, lor E. Johnson, owner of the horse Trevallian, and after bearing witnesses anil considering the evidence given b< /ire the New Zealand Trotting Association, the judges were unanimously of the opinion that the decision of the Trotting Association was correct. The judges furthei ordered that the dojipsit of £2O be refunded to the Gore Racing Club.
