They ret out to raise hinds for the trip to Chicago. They stage a travesty of old-time melodrama, with the bare, raw, .heroine lied to the railway tracks, and such ancient ditties as “Heaven Will Rroieet a Working Girl.” When Raul Whiteman appears, in their town they borrow hiis orchestra’s instruments during an mtermirison and give him an audition lie never expected. Rani Whiteman nor only conduct* an orchestra but proves Itintself I a very capable actor in his scenes with the ! youngsters.
