SURPLUS OF REVENUE. A summary of the financial operations of the Muiiawatii-Oroua Power Board in the past year was placed Irefore the monthly meeting of the board yesterday by the managing-secretary (Mr K. W. Eglinton). This showed an excess of revenue over expenditure of £BBBI. , . . It was reported that ol this sum £IOOO had been placed as a free-of-in-terest war loan. 1 lie increase oi re- : venue over the previous year was £17,585 and the increase in cxpenditure amounted to £14,004 (including capital expenditure). The following nummary was given:—. Revenue. — Snlcv- of clcclricitv, ™109.691 18s- lenis, £300: profit on trading, £4OB 7s 4d;’ miscellaneous, £3 12-c, total, £140,403 Purchase of power, £67.623; interest sinking fund. £33.144 16s 2d; depreciation and renewals. £5642 l&s 4d: "cncral expenditure, maintenance. mann<Tcmctif. etc., £20,141 12s od; capital expenditure, £4,969 16s 4d; total, £131,522 6d.
