THE welfare of citizens depends greatly upon the gratuitous service of those members of the community who are willing to give their time and energy to the management of the city, and it behoves citizens to vote for those whose past history assures capable and faithful administration. We have a city of which wo are proud and which has great future possibilities. That future requires to he developed with a long view on sound lines, without haste. _ and with all ■Councillors working in harmony towards the one end of giving all sections of the community an environment in which it is a pleasure to live and work. Rig questions will have to he considered and decided during the. next few years, and they will need vigour, courage and well balanced judgment in the Councillors who are elected to make those decisions and who arc responsible for the continued good management of the city.
