(From Our Own Correspondent.) Despite unfavourable weather there was a good attendance of visitors and members at the opening of the Halcombc Golf Chib. A Canadian foursome was won hv Miss O. _Fergurtson and Mr R. Ander son; the runners-up were Miss P. • Fergnsson and Mr G. Judd. A separate competition played by the men was won by B. Bevan who returned a gross 39 for nine hole*,; T. Waldin was runner-up. The men's club will play a medal round over the. weekend and the draw is as follows: G. Bevan and A. (:. Boswell. X. J.
