MAYORAL ELECTION MR A. E. MANSFORD MAYOR, Will Address the Electors at CORONATION HALE-TO-NIGHT (.MONDAY, May 12). CENTRAL SCHOOL — TUESDAY, May 13. TAKARO HA LI WEDNESDAY, May 14. WEST END—THURSDAY, May 15. All Meetings at 8 o’clock p.m. POWER BOARD ELECTION. PALMERSTON NORTH. AS a present member of the Mana.-watu-Oroua Power Board I trust that the services rendered during my term of office has merited the confidence and support of the Electors And I again heg to offer my services to the City for a further term. Member of Board for 18 years, ex City Councillor for 13 years, member and ox-Chairman Wellington Harbour Board for 13 years. M. A. ELIOTT. PALMERSTON NORTH CITY COUNCIL. AS A CANDIDATE for a seat on the City Council 1 ask lor the votes of all citizens. I have had considerable experience in administering large affairs and believe that I can be a useful representative of all sections of the community. The City has been well served, but there are vacancies to be filled by suitable men, and probably at no previous time has a strong Council been required more urgently. In addition to the wise and prudent management of ordinary civic needs, much planning will be required for after-war reconstruction ,and development of the Dominion and for the replacing of returned men into our economic and social life, and City administration must go hand-in—hand with Dominion administration in this work. If Citizens are of opinion that I have the necessary qualities of balanced judgment, independent courage and vigour in getting essential things done, l ask for their votes. THOMAS ROWLEY LEES.
