AIR FORCE BAND
STIMULATING FFFFCT. (Press Assn.) WELLINGTON, May 2. The opinion that the band of the Hoyul New Zealand ~ir force had a definite stimulating effect on the morale of the people, especially in the present difficult days, was expressed bv! Mr I{. It .Nimmo. deputy-chairman of the Patriotic Council, to-day. Mr Nininio said that, directly and indirectly, this wonderful musical combination had been instrumental in raising for patriotic purposes approximately £.'10.030. Two years ago. when he visited Britain in connection with the Centennial Exhibition, be had the privilege of receiving aucTitions from several military bands, and he had no hesitation in saving that, in his opinion, the band of tin? Royal New Zealand Air Force had reached such a high standard of efficiency in such a remarkably short time that it, was up to the standard of many of the permanent regimental bands'of Britain.
