CHRYSANTHEMUM CLUB

A display, by the Palmerston North Chrysanthemum Club; held yesterday, proved a hue exhibition and reflected much credit on all concerned. To-day the .blooms were taken to "Wanganui lor the annual competition between* the Palmerston North and Wanganui clubs. Palmerston North won the cup last season for Ihe first time in some years, and judging by the display of yesterday Wanganui will have a difficult task to regain the trophy. The judges yesterday were Mr and Mrs Morb.v, of Wanganui, who praised the exhibition, a bright feature of which was the well-grown blooms shown by tho novices. Results were: Single chrysanthemums. Six vari eties (disbudded) : Mrs N. Stidolph 1, Mrs Nathan 2. Three: Mrs Stidolph 1, J. Hollows 2, J. Adamson 3. -Three blooms (anemone centre) : J. Hollows 1, Mrs Poole 2, C. Erenstrom 3. Specimen plant in receptacle: J. G. Radford 1 and 2. \Japancso chrysanthemums. —Twelve of any ono variety (Stidolph Shield): J. Adamson 1. J. Morgan 2. Twelve varieties (Grey Cup) : Mr Sherman 1, J. G. Radford 2. Six varieties: J. H. Cooper 1, W. Weston 2, J. Hollow's 3 Three varieties (Tucker C'up): J. 11. Cooper 1, Mr Sherman 2, W. Weston 3. Three varieties (lady growers): Mrs J Clarke 1, Mrs Stidolph 2, Miss Kelly 3. Ono bloom: Mr Sherman 1, J. Morgan 2, Mr Poole 3.' Three varieties (novice): Mr Sliand 1 and 3, Mr Poole 2. One bloom (novice): Mrs Jones 1, Mr Poole 2, Mr .Tonkinson 3. Three .varieties (junior): G. Mcnhennet 1, W. Rarnos 2. One bloom (junioit) : G. Mcnhennet 1, W Barnes 2.
