; ANNUAL MEETING. Mr T. R. Hodder was in the chair at tlie annual meeting of the Bahnerston North branch of the Y.M.C.A. The chairman, in speaking to the annual report, said tnat the association could well be proud in coming through a difficult year so satis,actorily. Ylie present conflict had taken away the services of the boys’ work director and the general secretary, and also a large number of senior men, who had joined tlie Forces.' The association bad lost its camp buildings at Pohaiigina, which had been wasiied away by the recent Hood. Despite these and other obstacles, the association bad carried on and it had much to feel satisfied with. The speaker paid a tribute to the work of the ladies’ auxiliary and the leaders’ corps and thanked all who had assisted tlie association during the past year.

G 1 endinning) and all others who had assisted the association’s work.
