DEARER WHISKY
EFFECT ON IMPORTS. (Press Assn.) WELLINGTON, April 30 Advice has been received of an advance in the export price of. whisky in case and bulk of approximately 25 per cent. It will-not apply to whiskynow in New Zealand or afloat. The effect will be not only to increase the price of whisky, hut also to reduce the quantities shipped in as much as licenses to import are based on 1938 values, not the volume.
