SPLENDID EQUIPMENT

CANADIAN CONTINGENT. (British Official Wireless.) (Bee. 10.10 a.m.) RUGBY, April 29. A new contingent of Canadian troops who arrived in England recently is the largest and most completely- equipped yet sent from the Dominion. It comprises infantry, artillery, armoured corps, ordnance, and road construction groups .in addition to a number of general reinforcements, including doctors. dentists, and chaplains. The armoured corps group is made up of officers and n.c.o.’s who will j train with the British armoured divis-1 ions and tho Royal Tank Corps and j thereafter instruct their own men in j mechanised warfare. The road construction company has arrived fully equipped with steam rollers, caterpillar! tractors, cement mixers, and other! equipment ready to start work on road building or repairing, and the gunners, after training with the base units, will go to artillery regiments in the field to man anti-tank and antiaircraft guns.
