BRITISH LEAVE ATHENS. NAZIS POURING IN. April 28. The last independent messages from Athens say that most of the British troops left the Athens district on Friday amid moving scenes. Cheering crowds shouted “Au revoir.” German troops are reported to he pouring into Athens. Units of the crack Adolf Hitler shock division, which suffered heavy losses at the hands of colonial forces in the earl}' stages of the campaign in Greece, have pushed on to Patras, in Peloponnesus. "Yugoslav troops and planes have arrived in the Middle East to join the Allied forces. They have received a warm welcome from the population in addition to the Allied troops, to whom they eagerly recounted their experiences.
