SCHOOLING AT AWAPUNI (By "Spectator.")

! • Several rounds oi schooling for jumpers, interspersed with galloping, made the work at Auapuni this morning very interesting. The. plough and the course proper, with the poles about 10ft out, were used for galloping. Un tile, plough, 'J. olaga run live furlongs in ■ 1.8 2-5 and was followed by Uu Maurier over the tame ground in 1.6 2-5. The latter is coming to hand nicely. On the course proper Ronascor and a two-year-old from L. G. Morris's stable ran three furlongs in 39 l-ssee. Selkirk hit out freely when running seven furlongs in 1.3 b. Ilingless (W. liroughton) had War Credit (J. Pratt) as a companion over five furlongs run in 1.6. Tau-Uru and Last Acre were together at tho end of seven furlongs run in 1.32, and Wildfire and dy-by-Niglit followed them over half-a-milo in bi 3-sscc. Courting ran the last five of six furlongs comfortably in LB. Myarion just shaded lilu6ary over six furlongs in 1.21 3-5, and Sweet Anno ran the same distance in 1.25 1-5. Squeers and Taitama were paired over .half a mile in 51 2-ssec. (Jorroborce was sent once round over the schooling hurdles and gave his usual good display. Ruatiti and Riotous showed to advantage when going once round over the steeplechase course. They were followed by Hornpipe (P. Brady) and Bridegroom (Miss F. White), who gave an excellent display. Clarion Call (Brady) was sent over the same course, giving a "•ood exhibition, and afterwards did stiong work on the plough. Puffing Billy (P. Itae) was allotted u similar task and he was followed later by Tigreterre (P. Yesterday morning High Peer and Hornpipe went over the big fences and Harbour Bar and Buffing Billy shaped well over the same country. The Auckland hurdle horseman, 1. Bradv, has joined L. Knapp's stable and he will pot lack opportunities for riding. Quadroon is in work under L. Wilson and doing well in the tasks allotted him.
