At the Marton Golf Club's links on Saturday a stroke competition was won by B. Cochrane, and R. Todd won a similar compel it ion at the Hawkeston Club, There is a possibility that six men’s teams will enter the Fcilding Hockey Association's competition this year, according to information paced before the annual meeting of (lie Marton Hookey. Club. The following officers were elected for the Marton Club: Patron, Mr F. Purnell: president, Mr .1. D. Gorric; vice-presidents. nine were elected : auditor, Air F. Tv. Nieol: secretary, Mr N. Webb: treasurer. Mr R. Ravner: delegate to Foilding Association. Air J. Sutton: committee, captain, vice-captain, secretary, treasurer and Air R. Jones.
The opening of the harrier season was held in Marton on Saturday. A four-mile course, was chosen over road and country.
