The social committee of the Palmerston North Hospital held another of their dances for patriotic purposes in the Empire Hall on Thursday night. There was a very good attendance, excellent arrangemonts having been made. The supper arrangements were in the hands of the ladies’ committees. The winners of competitions were Mrs Woodley and Mr I.uxmoorc (first lucky Gay Gordons), Ali&s Ilodder and a member of the Forces (second luck.v Gay Gordons), Mrs Nicol and Mr Rowland (Monte Carlo) and Aliss Aplin ami Air Coleman (Lucky spot). The prizes were again donated by local business firms. Both modern and old-time dancing were combined in an enjoyable programme, tho music being supplied by a. professional orchestra.
