ANZAC CONCERT
The Regent Tncatrc was well filled last evening when the Palmerston North R.S.A. presented its annual Anzac concert, the proceeds being used to defray Anzac Day expenses and for the maintenance of graves. The amount raised was £7l, this l>eing a record. A largo variety of instrumental and vocal items provided most onjovable entertainment. Those who contributed items were Miss Lockwood, Messrs C. Bell, R. Morgan. J. Pizzey, C. Tilley. T Allen and F. Lawrence (Wellington) and Larkin's orchestra and the lluia Straight Light. In connection with the concert a correspondent writes:—At the very excellent concert staged last night by the R.S.A. there was but one regret—that the whole company of artists did not return to the stage at the conclusion to lend tbo vast audience in the singing of the National Anthem.
