NO PROGRESS IN TALKS.
(British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, April 21
Regretting that he could not report onv progress so tar with the negotiations for a trade agreement and a general settlement with the Soviet Union, the Foreign Lmdcr-Seorctaiy (Mr Butler) in the House of Commons stated: “I need hardly say that the British Government will always he readv when a favourable occasion offers to discuss questions of common concern with the Soviet with the object of settling all outstanding questions in a manner which would be equally beneficial to both parties.” Mr Butler added that the status of the Baltic was a question that might well he discussed. The Russo-Japanese .Pact has been ratified.
