Bugliv.—Announcing the figures of those who have died in Britain as a result of road accidents during March, the Ministry of Transport states that the total was 834. as against 496 in March. 1940. A little less than half met their deaths through road accidents during black-out hours. Til all 150 blood transfusions were given in the Palmerston North Hospital during the past year, according to the report of the medical superintendent (Mr J. H. North). Of these 121 were given bv members of the Voluntary Blood Transfusion Service.
