SUMMER TIME.

EXTENSION PROBABLE. (By Telegraph.—Special to Standard.) WELLINGTON, March 25. Summer time is almost certain to be considered by Parliament before the House of Representatives ' adjourns at the end of the week. It is understood that the question of an extension of summer time has already been a subject for consultation between the political parties and, as an agreement is likely to be reached regarding the future term of the Summer Time Bill, it should not occupy much debating time on the floor of the Chamber. One hour of summer time has been suggested, but the present half-hour observed in summer for the whole of the year appears more probable.
