RAID ON MALTA.
ENEMY DRIVEN OFF. (British Official Wireless.) (Rec. 11.33 a.m.) RUGBY. March 23. A large formation of enemy bombers escorted by fighters raided Malta yesterday, but they were chased out to sea by our fighters, which engaged the enemy. ■ One of our fighters was shot down by a Messerschmitt 110, which in turn was destroyed by another of our aircraft.
