BADLY MANAGED.

VIEW OF IMPRESSMENT.

Per Press Association.

GISBORNE, March 13. The opinion that the whole business of the impressment of trucks for the Army had been very badly managed was expressed by Mr P. J. O. Skoglund. No. 2 Licensing Authority, at a sitting yesterday. He stated that he had been appointed appeal authority in connection with the impressment, but he had not been given any instructions- as to the procedure. He had received a number of complaints and evidence of considerable hardship. At the same time, he had been told that Wairoa had sent in a iist of 17 trucks which were available to the Army Department, but nothing further had been heard regarding them.
