OBITUARY.
MR FREDERICK WHITAKER. The death occurred in the Hospital on December 13 of Mr Frederick Whitaker, a respected resident of Palmerston North, at the age of 62 years. Mr Whitaker had been in failing health for some time. He was born in Southport, England, and went to Queensland in 1884, coming to New Zealand in 1895. Except for three years in Levin he had since resided in Palmerston North. He married Miss Louisa May Hewitt, daughter of the late Mr and Mrs A. Hewitt. Mr Whitaker was employed in the building trade and in recent years by Mr H. E. Townshend. Mr Whitaker leaves a wife and three sons—Messrs Gordon (New Plymouth), Douglas and Norman (Palmerston North) —and two. brothers and two sisters —Messrs John and Frank Whitaker and Miss M. E. Whitaker (Levin) and Miss M. Whitaker (Pahiatua). To all the relatives the sympathy of their friends has been extended.
