(Bee. 11.50 a.m.) MOSCOW, Jan. 7. The newspaper Izvestia states that the Soviet oil production in 1940 exceeded that of 1939, but did not reach the programme. The Izvestia urges that the original estimate for 1941 should be increased because of the growing needs of the defence services.
