THOUSAND SHEEP KILLED.

SYDNEY, Dec. 23. More than 1000 sheep were killed and many others injured when a stock train which left Moree on Friday night for Boggabilla left the rails near Wongabinda. The guard, Clive Guest, and the fireman, Keith Albert, were admitted to hospital. The driver, J. Strong, w r as allowed to leave hospital after treatment. The train consisted of 36 sheep trucks, of which 19 left tho rails, which had sagged as a result o. heavy rain. The driver and fireman jumped just as the engine left the rails and toppled over. Fodder had been sent from Moree to, feed the sheep, hundreds, of which are roaming the countryside.
